Helicopter Takes Water From A Nearby Pool Without Landing To Put Out A Fire

In the hot summer days, we are witnessing many forest fires in our country, with which respectable firemen must fight daily.

When the fire is too large for extinguishing from the ground, helicopters and planes come to the aid.

From the past years, a video comes from Portugal when the fire approached one of the places. Helicopters and planes were called for help, and one of the inventive pilots of the helicopter found a great solution.

Water was taken from the pool in front of one of the houses, in order to extinguish the fire as soon as possible.

The pilot told that the owner is entitled to compensation for damages or lost water if he files a complaint with the Civil Defense. He explained that filling at swimming pools is only done as a last resort because of the risks involved (children playing, damage to property, flying debris such as garden furniture, etc), but he did so on this case because there were houses in danger and the water source was so convenient.
