Horrific Crash At The Mountain Of Hell Downhill Mountain Bike Race
Mountain of Hell is a special event that has become more and more popular in recent years. It takes place in the Les 2 Alpes resort in the north of the French Alps, and in the competition there is no lak of adrenaline.
This is a special "downhill" race, with hundreds of competitors coming down from the mountain at the same time!
The competition was also held this year, and already at the start, the spectators witnessed real drama. A group of riders fell already at the very beginning, followed by a number of crashes by other competitors. Almost all the participants were on the grounds!
The route starts at the top of the glacier in the Les 2 Alpes resort, followed by a 20 km (12,4 miles) long descent, with competitors beating over 2,600 meters (8,500ft) of height difference. On the way, many ice, rocks and other traps are waiting for them before they cross the finish line in Venosc.
