Mass Slaughter Of Pilot Whales In The Faroe Islands

On July 23 2015, approximately 250 pilot whales were slaughtered on the killing beaches of the Faroe Islands. The slaughters, known by the traditional Faroese term grindadrap, took place in two separate drive hunts at Bour and Torshavn, making this the single, bloodiest day in the archipelago this year.
