Police Rescue Off The Coast Of Florida Saves Giant Sea Turtle's Life
Years ago, police officers from the American city of Jacksonville, Florida, posted a video on the YouTube network in which they came to the rescue of a giant sea turtle.
The animal found itself in a crab trap, and it could not free itself.
The video of the rescue landed online back in 2016, and has garnered just under 200,000 views to date. Police officers noticed a giant leatherback sea turtle who was in trouble while sailing near Hanna Park.
It became entangled in a trap used by fishermen to catch crabs, and the animal itself could not escape. Police officers on a boat came to its aid, freed the turtle, and filmed the whole rescue on camera.
