Police officer Joseph Richards intervened in Alpena, Michigan, when he saw a little girl in front of him. She was wandering straight towards the busy road, so the police officer quickly started to take action.
He ran towards the 2-year-old girl who had previously stepped onto the road, then grabbed her just before the truck drove past them. The truck driver was breaking heavily, in all likelihood, could not stop in time.
